MBA - Master of Business Administration: University of Gloucestershire (UoG)

Open Learning Centre (OLC) offers a Master of Business Administration degree Programme in collaboration with the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) UK. The Programme is run on a part-time basis to create flexibility and allow working students to complete their studies over a period of 2 years.

Entry requirements
Criteria for entry onto the the first semester are:

  • Acceptable Bachelors’ degree or an acceptable equivalent; or
  • Acceptable Postgraduate or Professional qualification; and
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ management/supervisory experience
  • English: IELTS 6.5 (6 in writing) or a minimum pass for GCSE English or Grade C for GCSE O-level 
    (ZIMSEC or Cambridge)

 

Semester 1
The first semester consists of the following 4 compulsory modules.

  • Personal Development and Managerial Effectiveness
  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • The Context and Practice of Human Resources Management
  • Managing Operations and Financial Resources-

 

Semester 2

The second semester gives you an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge that were gained in first semester. The following 4 modules will be studied in the second semester

  • Managing Finance
  • Business Development and Entrepreneurship
  • International Business and Consultancy
  • Managing Change and Leading Strategically

Entry requirements
Criteria for entry onto the second semester are:

  • Successful completion of the first semester.
  • A period of work experience incorporating operational responsibilities (usually not less than 3 years); and
  • Access to employment in a public or private sector, for profit or non-profit making organisation.

Semester 3: Masters of Business Administration
The final semester of the Programme is the Masters of Business Administration. On completion of the 2 years part-time MBA Programme, the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) will provide successful students with an MBA degree certificate identical to that received by UoG students in the UK.

The MBA comprises of the following module:

  • Dissertation

Entry requirements:
To embark on the MBA Programme one should meet the following requirements:

  • Successful completion of the second semester
  • A period of work experience incorporating operational responsibilities (usually not less than 4 years); and
  • Access to employment in a public or private sector, for profit or non-profit making organisation
